The "Me" project

This week the children talked about their rooms and what they liked about them. In their "Me" books, they also drew what their rooms looked like. The children then made a bedroom out of the shoe boxes they had brought.  Drawing, planning, designing, cutting and making. It was very creative.

Drawings from our class story

Our class story with Fluffy is coming along. The children are full of imagination. A new character called Lavocus has appeared in the story. This week, there was much discussion about the plot of the story and if Lavocus was a good or bad character in the story. Discussion engages the children in the story and helps them clarify the plot. Check out the drawings from the children's work!

Author visit to classroom

Ruben's dad, Gary Fabbri, has written a few childrens books. We were very happy to welcome him to the classroom. He showed, read and discussed two of his books with the children. They were fascinated. The children brought up interesting points and had lots of questions for Gary. It was inspiring for the children to listen to Gary.
