Newsletter week 36 (1st -5th September2014)

Dear all,

Last week, Fluffy went home to the first child over the week-end. And what an exciting week-end it was! Everyone wanted to hear about it and many children could not wait for it to be their turn to take Fluffy home. Fluffy has gotten so many presents that we have to think of a proper way to collect and organize his presents …necklaces, many bracelets, a bed….almost overwhelming!

The children had to bring in a stone they had picked up during their summer holidays. Since the beginning of school, the children have been presenting their stones and saying what they remember of their holiday.

                                                 

What an amazing collection of stones we have! And the children have been great at presenting them and telling us about their holidays….an intimidating process talking in front of everyone….

This week, we have also started with our Alphabet Corner. Children have brought in Objects starting with the letter A and we talked about the A sound.

        

Our “museum” space fascinated the children. The main idea is to link the sound of the word to the letter in a visual way.

Of course the highlight of the week was the tour of the school. It was interesting to see the Aula and the library and above all to feel that we had the school to ourselves!

We have introduced working with i pads in the class...very exciting!...more detailed information on that next week.
