Newsletter week 40 (29th Sept-3rd Oct)

The children have had their first Swedish lessons. Last week they did worksheets connected to the letter of the week in Swedish with one of the teachers and this week, another of the Swedish teachers read stories and asked questions around the stories. It is interesting to see how the children handle their bilingualism in the group.

In their "me" books, the children drew their homes and 3 things they liked about their homes.

One of the highlights for the children this week was meeting our mentor class -3b. They had all been looking forward to this moment for so long! They got worksheets where they had to write each other's names. They also had to interview each other and discover something their school buddy liked. We definitely plan to meet on a regular basis!

We had a painting session today. The theme was autumn trees. Messy, fun finger painting with creative results. Won't you agree?

As from next week, we will have a visiting guest teacher from Japan.  Her name is Narumi Kishimoto and she will be here this whole term thanks to a program called the "International Intership Program" which promotes cultural initiatives. We will probably learn a lot about Japan and it should be interesting and fun to have Narumi with us. Welcome Narumi!

Next week
Monday - letter "F"

Have a great week end!
