Newsletter week 41 (6th -10th October)

On Monday morning we welcomed our guest from Japan, Narumi Kishimoto. She is very happy and excited to be with us. She has found things extremely different from how they function in Japan. Narumi has quickly found her place with the children who have been great with her.

What makes you happy? This was what the children had to draw for the "me" book this week. They had to think of 3 things which make them happy. It went from eating ice-cream, to watching a movie or being with my family.

This week when the children worked on the iPads, they wrote down words beginning with the letter "f". This was a way for them to recognise letters on the keyboard. For some, it was even practice matching capital letters to lower case. It is also an introduction to spelling.

While half of the class worked with iPads, the other half did work sheets in a joyous atmosphere.

Next week Monday : objects beginning with "g".
Please bring in a shoe box for a class project.

Have a great week end!
